General Information

Special room blocks and rates have been established at a range of properties in St. John’s.  Please review the information below and contact properties directly to make your own reservations quoting “SARSCENE Conference 2008”. Please note the cut-off dates for each hotel — make your booking long before the date indicated — especially for venues with smaller blocks.  For additional information, go to the hotel websites indicated below. 

Hotels welcoming working dogs are indicated below.  Please mention your needs when reserving.

Most properties offer smoking and non-smoking rooms, and will accommodate any special needs. Special rates may also be offered for suites — inquire with the hotel.

The general Area each property is located in is indicated below according to these guidelines:

• Area 1: central and within walking distance of the Delta St. John’s
• Area 2: 5-10 minutes by vehicle from the Delta St. John’s (15-20 minute walk), but serviced by the event shuttle.
• Area 3: 15 minutes by vehicle from Delta St. John’s and downtown, but serviced by the event shuttle. 
• Area 4: 15 minutes by vehicle from Delta St. John’s and downtown, but serviced by the event shuttle.  This area is closest to SAR Games facilities.

All properties in Areas 2, 3 and 4 will be serviced by morning and end of conference day shuttle service.

St. John's International Airport  
The St. John's International Airport (www.stjohnsairport.com)is located approximately 9 kilometres (5 miles) from the Delta St-John’s Hotel and Conference Centre — the host venue for this year’s SARSCENE.

Taxi
A flat rate of $22.50 one-way ($2.00 for each additional person) is charged for taxis from the St. John's International Airport to the Delta Hotel. Taxis are readily available in front of the Delta Hotel.
